In retrospect, this was the worst year of my life. Alcohol and depression were at an all time high. Somehow, I was able to scrape together some photos I can say I’m proud of.

Riding the high of 2020, the year started off looking promising. I went to D.C to photograph the Biden inauguration, then straight into a 5k mile freight trip from Chicago down to Miami, up to NYC then finally arriving back in Chicago.

Settling back in New York, I was rehired at the job I lost at the start of the pandemic. To this day I have no idea what caused me to self destruct, but it happened.

I really didn’t shoot much for the rest of the year, got fired from my job and decided I needed to go to California to change the pace. Little did I know things were only going to get worse. I wish I could end this wrap up with something positive or profound but that wasn’t in the cards until the following year.
